Leanne Ford created and began running Punkster at 23 years old, taking the vision from city to city as she moved around the country before rooting Punkster in Long Beach, California. Leanne gained her experience in design and marketing with her first line, Messandmod, at Ohio University, working with Heatherette in New York City, and Quiksilver in Orange County. Punkster is simply a natural progression back to her roots in homegrown design.


Ashleigh Snead has supported Leanne’s vision since the beginning and recently left her job at a New York PR firm to work full time as a partner at Punkster. She is involved in all aspects of the company including the creative, press and business. She is currently completing her MBA at New York University with a focus in Entrepreneurship.


The girls have been the best of friends since high school where they met at a YMCA camp in Pennsylvania and spent their summers working on the waterfront staff together throughout college. They knew immediately they would be accomplishing great things together, and they are having an amazing time doing them all.


In April 2007, Tia Gupta joined the team as the CFO. A graduate of Northwestern University, Tia comes from an investment banking and private equity background and brings her knowledge of corporate finance and strategy to Punkster.
